Come along to the first of a new season of open mics and Word Kitchen events at Brook Kitchen in Budleigh Salterton.
Our popular evenings return with a 500 word challenge - an extract or a self contained piece of writing however is not compulsory you can also read a longer piece. Five minute reading slots available for up to 14 writers. Choose something you are writing or have written and read an extract from it of no more than five hundred words. Or you can create a complete piece of flash fiction or a memoir vignette. Make every word count and enjoy the challenge.
