To say we're excited to team up with our pals at The Hallamshire Hotel would be an understatement - we're super stoked, two fabulous venues in one and repeating every "First Thirsty Thursday" of every month, too!
This time on our adventure to The Hallamshire Hotel make sure you've got your best pair of dancing shoes on for Sheffield's finest Ravers. Once described as “a dark pulsing new wave with elements of disco punk”, Speed For Lovers are here to make you dance. The band consists of Moony on bass and vocals, Liam on drums and Kitty on vocals and a synthesiser known as a Korg Kaossilator.
Support from My Lo-Fi Heart the solo project of Sheffield-based hoarder of musical instruments, Ian Turley. The music is a hypnotic, daydreamy, stream-of-consciousness drive into the weird, wonderful chaos of love … played out on jangly guitars, crackly analogue synths and dusty drum machines…. lo-fi love songs for lo-fi lovers…blending electronic beats to shoegazey guitars…dreamy techno grunge …
