Sitting in the sunshine with a drink in hand listening to music is the perfect way to start your September. If this sounds up your street then why not join the Irish Community Services choir, The Shamrockers, for an outdoor concert featuring songs from the worlds of jazz, swing and rock and roll, meaning this program has a little something for everyone.
The Shamrockers are a local community group who meet weekly to learn songs, share stories and have fun along the way. It has been said that music heals the soul and warms the heart and this message is what drives this diverse team of singers and will be front and centre at their performance.
The summer soirée will take place on Thursday 12th of September at the beautiful St. George's Garrison Church, Woolwich amongst its picturesque grounds, making it the perfect location for an afternoon of song.
Bombed during World War Two this unique building still stands as an evocative ruin with its stunning mosaics combined with the modern canopy, creating a striking setting for multiple events.
The concert will run from 12:30pm to 2:30pm and includes drinks on arrival and, of course, a feel good show.
So pop the date in your diary, call up your loved ones and get booking. The tickets are £10 and can be purchased at Irish Community Services.
