New Roots presents alt-folk band Paper Fence with support TBC.

Doors open 7.30 pm, music from 8.15 pm sharp. Nearest tune station Kings Cross, 8 minutes walk.

PAPER FENCE is the musical partnership of Hannah and Nick Harris.
Hannah is a singer and songwriter with a starkly original voice, merging jazz and the darker side of roots & country into her own atmospheric, cinematic sound.

Nick is well known on the grassroots music scene as a mixer and producer of critically lauded albums by the likes of Minnie Birch and Alvarez Theory.

They come together to create haunting evocative music underpinned by jazz influenced grooves and classic songwriting

Captivated from a young age by the guitar playing of Bert Jansch, Davy Graham and John Renbourn, Dariush has performed, studied and taught with some of the most influential figures in fingerstyle guitar. These include Renbourn himself, Stefan Grossman, Clive Carroll and Wizz Jones. Dariush toured the U.K. and Ireland extensively last year as Clive Carroll’s special guest and duo partner on Clive’s ‘Music Of John Renbourn’ tour. He is currently writing material for a new solo album.
