ACTING WITH AGNES O'CASEY (Workshop) - IFTA winner Agnes O’Casey will be sharing advice and giving insight into the world of acting for Film and Television in this special event for young creatives.
Agnes began her professional career playing the lead role in the BBC series Ridley Road directed by Lisa Mulcahy. Agnes has gone on to play the lead role of Maud in the indie feature Lies We Tell a role for which she won IFTA 2024 Best Lead Actress in Film. Agnes also played the role of Dolly alongside Laura Linney, Maggie Smith & Kathy Bates in The Miracle Club and the part of Emilie in Dangerous Liaisons. Agnes’ upcoming work includes the role of Lady Maragret Douglas in Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, and the role of Sarah Furlong alongside Emily Watson & Cillian Murphy in the feature Small Things Like These. On stage Agnes will play the role of Liz Gold in The Spy Who Came in From the Cold, directed by Jeremy Herrin and adapted for stage by David Eldridge. Agnes was recently nominated for the 2024 Screen Ireland - IFTA Rising Star Award and was named as one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow 2024.
