Event Information
Dick Lee and Briak Kellock are amongst the foremost contemporary Jazz musicians, in Scotland and worldwide. They have teamed up to showcase The Story of Jazz, featuring a tour through the highlights of that great and vibrant genre. While they are both virtuoso performers and improvisers, they span a wide range of musical styles and moods.
Over the last 50 years Dick has played and recorded with many artists and groups including Swing, The Psychiatrists, John Renbourn, Hebrides Ensemble, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Michael Marra Band, Chita Rivera and Ken Mathieson's Classic Jazz Orchestra. He is a supreme entertainer and familiar performer here in Dollar, latterly with Ali Affleck, and several times with Swing.
Brian is a leading jazz pianist in the UK, and has played with many of the greatest names in jazz over the past 30 years. Essentially a swing-based pianist, Brian loves to entertain and make the audience feel happy! He has played in Dollar many times in different ensembles, such as with saxophonist Tommy Smith.
