Event information
The Olie Brice Trio - featuring Tom Challenger on tenor sax and Will Glaser on drums - was formed when Covid restrictions meant that an Olie Brice Quintet gig had to be reduced in size, and rather than leave two musicians out Olie decided to put a new combination together. The gig was such a joy that Olie has kept the band going, and they have been a band ever since, featured on one half of Olie's double album 'Fire Hills'. The trio play original compositions as well as tunes by the likes of Johnny Dyani and Eric Dolphy, combining joyous swing and the freedom of open explorations.
