Event Information
Sam Browse is a London (formerly Sheffield) -based folk singer, performing songs about working class struggle and queer experience. Drawing on a folk canon of rakish werewolves, gender-fluid drummers, and inappropriately amorous kings – alongside sounds sampled from Soho to the RVT – his latest EP, Wanton Will, is a love letter to queer London. A – sort of? – newcomer to the capital’s folk music scene, we hope you enjoy him as much as we do.
Minna, a London-based artist with roots in The Scottish Borders, channels her familial connection to folk music into a captivating blend of tradition and innovation. Raised in a household steeped in musical talent, she developed a deep affinity for folk music from an early age.
Renowned for her timeless voice, often likened to “a voice from the past,” Minna draws inspiration from both traditional Celtic folk groups like ‘The Corries’ and contemporary artists such as Bon Iver, Leon Bridges, and Daniel Norgren.
