A Friday night of blues, garage, country, punk, psychedelia and more at Jamboree!
Melding Franco-Anglo-American influences, headliners The Shazzams have concocted a remedy for backbeat nostalgia. Justin Houser leads with songwriting, vocals and guitar, summoning blues, garage, country and punk that veers into psychedelia. Lyrically, Houser presents a sideshow of pugilists, animals, and literary monsters. Guitarist Raphael Dumas seized the Fender Jaguar at the groups onset and prowls through the songs, as debonair Stephen Harrison delivers a thumping, sturdy bass line, with the fierce drummer, Jeremy Lainé, rounding out the rhythm section. The band have been playing around France and Europe for the past 7 years with a frantic, rhythmic energy.
