Join Actors Suranne Jones and Jennifer James for a day long workshop on acting craft covering, character development, improvisation, script work, audition technique, confidence building and hearing about the career journeys that have taken these actors across different genres and from television to film and theatre. **********Note scripts will be provided in advance of the workshop upon booking to read and learn for the day.********
BAFTA award winner Suranne Jones has recently completed filming on Netflix's political thriller series THE CHOICE. Prior to this, she was most recently seen in the highly anticipated second series of BBC's VIGIL & MARYLAND alongside Eve Best & Stockard Channing for ITV.
She played the indomitable Anne Lister in season one and two of BBC/HBO's GENTLEMAN JACK. Suranne received rave reviews for her outstanding performance, which earned her a Best Actress nomination at the 2020 BAFTAs. Suranne also played the lead, Amy Silva, in BBC/World Production’s VIGIL. Season one was the UK’s most watched new drama in three years.
Her many credits include; the incredibly successful Series 1 & 2 of Mike Bartlett's DOCTOR FOSTER in which she stars as Dr Gemma Foster. She won the BAFTA for Best Leading Actress, one of many awards she won for the role. She created, executive produced, and starred in the critically acclaimed ITV series SCOTT & BAILEY which ran for five series.

“Jennifer James is an actor best known for her role as Geena in ‘Coronation Street’ Kim Spicer in BBC’s ‘Dalziel & Pascoe’ and staring in C4’s ‘Shameless.’ Jennifer and her husband, actor Lee Boardman run their hugely successful acting academy, “ACTOR TRIBE” which they set up 12 years ago.
