A hugely popular Wirral comedy night returns for another serving of hilarity on Friday, April 11, 2025.
The pro-nights of comedy featuring an MC and three top class acts from the UK comedy scene plus food from Wirral caterers take place at Thornton Hough Village Club.
After full houses during a successful debut season in 2024 – DBN Events will be serving up five more nights of comedy throughout 2025.
The night on April 11 will be headlined by the amazing STEVE HALL.
Steve, is an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, who in 2024 was invited by Frank Skinner to open for him at his 3 week London run and autumn UK tour. Steve has written for 12 series of Russell Howard’s television shows, supported Russell across numerous tours including several times at the Liverpool Echo Arena, and was the first ever guest stand-up on Russell Howard’s Good News.
He was one third of beloved sketch idiots We Are Klang alongside Greg Davies and Marek Larwood.

Our opening act is the delightful CATHERINE YOUNG.
Tour support for Scott Bennett, Nathan Caton and Carl Hutchinson, Catherine Young was the winner of Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year 2019.
Instantly likeable, Catherine is quickly making a name for herself as one of the most exciting acts to come out of the North-East in recent years. From Irish decent, Catherine is a warm, yet fearless, electric act.
Her comedy is light-hearted, full of mischievous stories and friendly humour, with the perfect mix of energy, punchlines and emotion.
And support comes from a rapidly rising star - OLIVER BOWLER.
Hailing from the mean cobbles of Bolton, Oliver’s mercurial rise has seen him become a So You Think You’re Funny Semi Finalist as well as featuring on the BBC New Comedy Awards shortlist 2024

The comedy night is the brainchild of Dean Boodaghians-Nolan - an actor who lives in the village as part of his passion to ensure the community he loves has a wide-range of entertainment options in a venue that is already renowned for attracting brilliant performers for its live music nights.
Doors on April 11 will open at 6.30pm and the comedy starts at 8pm prompt.
