We caught the ace Geo in Amsterdam earlier this year and so we had to bring them to Oxford!
Life is beautifully strange and Geo embraces it with mutant punk from the cracks of the earth. Dancing rhythms, groovy bass lines are strung apart by abrupt structures and piercing guitars. A world fueled by dissociative vocals which travel through disconnection, demons in heads and conversations with the self. But it’s embracing these polarities that bring us closer to a truth maybe. Geo keeps dancing around the middle, exploring a centre that might never be there.
Inviting you to dance on the volcano with them, a dance that always keeps you on your toes. Geo plays a tense game executed in a precise, minimal way. Geo embraces the freeing ideas and the urgency felt in post-punk & no wave. A surprising
crossover between bands such as The Contortions, The Fall and Liquid Liquid. Their s/t debut EP was received very well and allowed them to tour through Europe several times. Now they are back with their debut album Out of Body!
