Coming from a musical background, he is adept at both straight stand up and musical comedy.

Andrew Fox Komedia new comedian of the year 2024
“His gag-rich set draws on a few stereotypes, sometimes as a shortcut, and sometimes to subvert, as in his delightful description of what to do if facing an aggressive ‘chav’. With a surfeit of punchlines and a clear, authentic world view, ripe for affectionate mockery, he took the title on this close-fought night.” Steve Bennett, Chortle
“In his baseball cap and trackie bottoms and talking about growing up on a council estate he could have come across as a cousin of Simon Brodkin's Lee Nelson but Fox's stories had a ring of authenticity about them, well, maybe not the one about him being so small his parents could slip him and his endless siblings through the window when they lost their keys, but certainly some of his material. And Fox was clearly smart on the subject of class, aptly making the point that, of course, working class kids can be smart too. A clever and accessible set which, up against close competition, won him first prize on the night.” Bruce Dessau, Beyond the Joke
“Hugely relatable, funny, warm, and engaging! Go see him!!” Esther Manito
“One of the most exciting new comedy voices to emerge from Brighton. Smart, original gag-writing with a lot of heart and hilarious authenticity.” Jill Edwards, Promoter – Comic Boom comedy club at Komedia Brighton.

Raj Poojara at Southampton's Stand-Up Comedy Club near me
If you were to look at Raj, you’d think what most people think… where the hell is he from? Once you get to know him (and his love for saving money wherever possible), you can easily establish that he’s Indian.
Born & bred in London, Raj is the only son and youngest child. His parents had two children, you know, of which one didn’t work out…
They were proud when their only son passed his A-levels and went on to study Economics at University. They were even more proud when he graduated and became a Private Banker.
So, the obvious next step was to become a comedian…
Growing up watching some of the greats and being the “funny guy”, a.k.a “the one with the great personality”, Raj decided to take the leap of faith into the world of comedy!
His first performance at the London’s Backyard Comedy club went so well that his second gig was in front of a sold-out theatre as the opening act.
After the feeling he got coming off that stage, he knew this was the path he wanted to follow, fighting for as much stage time as possible while always working on new material.
