A new night of research-based comedy from the team behind Science Showoff, but this time we've shown science the door to find out about HUMANS.
Join Steve Cross and a team of philosophers, linguists, historians, media experts and more to laugh, learn and be silly as we try to work out why on Earth people are the way they are.
Our lineup includes:
Jeff Bowersox – Jess is a German historian who will be trying to sell you on wellness fads, past and present
Christabel Cane – Christabel is a philosopher and it’s her ambition to prove that time isn’t real
James Connolly – James Connolly is a Modern French Historian. He will talk about conflict, national stereotypes, and at least three members of his family
Tasnim Ismail – Tasnim is a philosopher of existentialism. She is going to worry about the brain a lot
Victor Braga Weber – Victor works at the crossroads of the philosophy of history and politics, vocally arguing for the benefits of living in the past
Luisa Signorelli – Luisa is an eighteenth-centuryist and a Shakespearean, tonight she will explore one of her biggest struggles in life: trying to be funny
