Solent Concert Orchestra "Celebrating Spring: Symphony, Serenades & Waltzes"

Celebrating spring with a delightful selection of music, including a symphony, serenades and waltzes, this concert will take place at St Michael & All Angels Church, Lyndhurst, at 7.30pm on Saturday 15 March 2025. The orchestra is delighted to be returning to this impressive venue in the heart of the New Forest.

Conducted by Simon Wilkins, the orchestra will be playing a selection of music to celebrate the Spring season, including:

The orchestra is a group of amateur musicians from the Southampton, Solent and New Forest area. It aims to give enjoyment to its members and audiences with performances of classical to light modern orchestral music, including symphonies and concertos, at least three times a year in the Southern Hampshire area.

The orchestra is pleased to support the Lyndhurst Community Centre at this concert, a cornerstone of our local community and a welcoming hub for residents of all ages and backgrounds. This vibrant facility is operated by the Lyndhurst and District Community Association (an independent charity) and supported by a team of committed volunteers. Collaborating with such a dynamic and essential institution aligns with the orchestra’s mission to enrich the lives of our community members through music and cultural engagement. We hope that this concert offers an opportunity for us all to play a part in sustaining the vital services and warm, inclusive atmosphere that the Lyndhurst Community Centre offers to everyone.
