Join Helen Gentile & Lewis Wood for the launch of their debut studio album, Violet Sky.
Recorded and mixed by Alex Garden (Sheelanagig, Tarren, The Drystones) it features the
European dance tunes the duo have become known for, as well as original compositions and
tunes by friends of the duo. This is also your first chance to get your hands on a copy of the
album, before its official release the next day!

Helen Gentile & Lewis Wood perform original and dynamic arrangements of European folk
dance tunes on clarinet and fiddle. The duo combines the talent of two musicians who are
firmly embedded into the folk music community in England, with many festival credits
between them. Their live show draws on influences from balfolk; listeners are transported
into the world of the Scottish, Waltz and Mazurka. Loose, ever-evolving arrangements create
space for improvisation and showcase the interplay between clarinet and violin.
