Mid-Winter Matinee Festival of Foot Stompin’ Bluegrass & Americana – featuring the Taff Rapids Stringband
Taff Rapids Stringband - Bluegrass sensations from Wales, and one of the finest stringbands Britain has produced in the last decade. In 2023 they were invited to the IBMA World of Bluegrass Showcase in Raleigh, NC, USA - the first Welsh group to receive such an invitation - and have been touring throughout the UK, Europe and in Canada in 2024, finishing the summer with a triumphant headline slot at the prestigious Didmarton Bluegrass Festival. Expect rich harmonies matched by phenomenal musicianship from a band that blends the classics with captivating originals.
The Seagrass Band – Acoustic bluegrass with a dash of folk and a dose of rock'n'roll from the South Coast combo. Featuring members of the Belinda Carlisle Band, the Coal Porters and the player dubbed by Record Collector magazine as the ‘Jimi Hendrix of the banjo’.
Joe Cave and the Bluegrass Bandits - Local favourites, Brighton’s best bluegrass band, combining virtuoso playing and heartfelt style.
