SUPPORT - ROTIFER
Following his recent solo work (2023's „Holding Hands in Petrópolis“) and collaborations with the likes of Helen McCookerybook and Louis Philippe, Robert Rotifer, ex-Viennese songsmith permanently exiled in Canterbury, is returning to his electric power trio of the 2010s because, frankly, it's too much fun not to.
In the past, the line-up of Rotifer contained a cast of characters ranging from Ian “Papernut Cambridge” Button via Darren Hayman of Hefner and Mike Stone from Television Personalities to Acid Jazz legend Andy Lewis. This time round, Robert will be backed by sometime Alternative TV member Ruth Tidmarsh and ubiquitous Creation Records house drummer Dave Morgan (The Loft, The Jazz Butcher, The Rockingbirds etc.). Expect old rockers about Frankfurt Kitchens, Canvey Island and the Aberdeen Marine Lab mixed with more delicate recent fare, partly still finger-picked, but electrically so.
