Ortakides are inviting you to a Cretan “parea” (gathering) for the first time in Oxford at The Jericho stage to explore the sounds of Crete, sing along, and dance! From seated folk songs of the urban centers of Crete, to traditional melodies and dance rhythms that characterize the celebratory feasts of the rural Cretan sea-side and mountain regions, we have picked a programme which speaks to our soul.
