We are delighted to extend an invitation to an exclusive and intimate meet-the-winemaker tasting and dinner hosted by Ranald MacDonald of Boisdale and Viña Santa Rita Head winemaker Sebastián Labbé on Monday 11th November 2024.

Located in Alto Jahuel, in the foothills of the Andes, Viña Santa Rita is one of Chile's most respected wine producers. Their flagship wine, Casa Real, was the first Chilean wine to be recognised as a Decanter Wine Legend. Head winemaker, Sebastián Labbé, is widely recognized for his innovative approach and expertise in crafting high-quality wines. Labbé brings a modern touch to Santa Rita's rich winemaking tradition: his ability to balance innovative techniques with a deep respect for terroir has led to the creation of wines that are not only reflective of Chile’s unique landscape but also celebrated for their complexity and elegance. Labbé's winemaking at Santa Rita has garnered numerous accolades including Descorchados ‘Revelation winemaker of the Year’ and the Drinks Business ‘Top 100 Winemakers in the World’, solidifying his position as a key figure in the world of premium Chilean wine.

The evening will commence with a walk-around wine tasting in the Negroni Bar at 630pm sampling the below wines:

-Santa Rita Medalla Real Gran Reserva, Chardonnay, Limari Valley, Chile
-Viña Carmen Florillon Semillon #3, Apalta, Colchagua Valley, Chile
-Santa Rita Floresta Cabernet Sauvignon, Maipo Valley, Chile
-Santa Rita ‘Triple C’, Maipo Valley, Chile
-Santa Rita Pewen, Apalta

This will be followed by a four-course sit down wine-paired dinner featuring wines from the Floresta range and two vintages of Casa Real: 2021, the latest vintage to be released through La Place de Bordeaux, and the 2011 vintage.
