Event information
Deep Night presents an evening of original live music at Jamboree, King’s Cross
Heathling
New London duo 'Heathling' are Nu folk musician Anna McLuckie and improvising flautist Gail Tasker. Together they experiment by pairing traditional music with improvisation, old tunes with new approaches, and slow airs with fast-paced jigs.
Lorenzo and Friends
Lorenzo and Friends meld together early jazz, blues and skiffle for a rowdy performance straight from the soul. Inspired by Blaze Foley, The Beatles and the great songwriters of early 20th Century America, Lorenzo’s extensive repertoire of original songs ranges from deeply heartfelt to the witty and irreverent. He will be joined on the night by Ed Shakespeare (Double Bass) and the Jamboree’s very own Ewan Bleach (Clarinet).
Tom Johnson
Tom Johnson is a songwriter from North-East London. His sound brings together influences from old English folk music, blues and psychedelia. His lyrics are deeply personal and his songs unfold like dreams, twisting and turning through the light and the shade. He will be joined on the night by Juampi Miro (double bass) and Gilles Casey (drums).
