Event information
Inside the Stargazer's Palace looks at the development of science in Early Modern Europe through the centres of investigation and innovation set up by Gerard Mercator, Tycho Brahe, and John Dee, among others.. This was a period where science was guided by observation, technology and logic. Yet omens, elixirs and alchemy did not entirely disappear. Enter a forgotten world where all knowledge is worth pursuing.
Violet Moller presented the Travels Through Time podcast, one of the Guardian's five best podcasts for the curious minded. This is her second visit to StonyWords, appearing virtually in 2021 to discuss The Map of Knowledge.
The event is on the first floor. There is a lift to enable access to the venue.
