Danish-born Brighton resident Sara Oschlag has quietly established herself as is one of the UK’s premier jazz vocalists. She is a regular performer at leading jazz festivals and venues, including Ronnie Scott’s, Love Supreme Festival, Jazz at The Lincoln Center and Pizza Express, has sung at events all across Europe, and has built up a YouTube presence of over 12 million views. Equally at home in the role of band leader as she is as a much in-demand special guest, she has recently appeared as featured vocalist with the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, Pete Long’s Echoes of Ellington Big Band and Arnie Somogyi’s “Scenes in The City Band”. She headlined the Brighton Jazz Festival in 2023, duetting with US trumpet/vocal star Benny Benack III.
In 2024 Sara produced a new album, ‘YEAH!’. Released to widespread critical acclaim, it was chosen as ‘Album Of The Week’ on Danish Radio’s dedicated jazz channel, P8.
Reviews:
“Bookended by the magnificent compositions of Mingus, this 10-track album from vocalist Sara Oschlag is a tour de force that pays homage to the greats while asserting Oschlag's singular voice.”
Peter Quinn - Jazzwise
“It is Oschlag who catches the ear and the attention in a set that has had me reaching for the repeat button; not just to hear the whole album again, but also to re-listen to a track again because I’m not quite believing what I’ve just heard.”
Nick Lea - Jazz Views
Other quotes:

Claire Martin – Five-time winner of the British Jazz Awards for Best Vocalist.
“Sara Oschlag, with her spot-on intonation, swinging feel and ability to get inside a song, has now firmly established herself in the front rank of U.K. jazz vocalists. She can handle with aplomb any situation from jam session to heavily arranged big bands and has the rare skill of instantly connecting with her audiences.” Alan Barnes – Multi award-winning jazz saxophonist and clarinettist.
“Sara’s stylish, imaginative phrasing and insouciant verve blew everyone away”
