Event information
For December, our esoteric talk with the Moon Temple moves to Tuesday 10th.
Join us on this night to listen to the magic of language -
Esezezus with Orryelle Defenestrate-Bascule
Although primarily a talk, Orryelle will employ poetry and even at times chanting (with overtones and undertones), song with violin, and glossolalia to self-referentially express the more vibrational aspects of language.
A presentation about the magic of language, a subject Orryelle has explored recently in his new book ‘Esezezus’ (Grayle Press 2023), and has given presentations on in Europe and USA.
Esezezus refers to the bliss of ‘Tongues’ as both physical vessels of language and languages themselves. As the Word ‘Language’ itself comes from French Langue meaning Tongue (the organ) they are really one, and the Word has power to manifest from thought to action.
An exploration and expression of the embodied and vibrational properties of language as much as its more common abstracted and intellectual use.
Poetry is a way of reclaiming the vibrational potency in such relatively diluted modern languages as English, to re-apply sonorous sound rather than just intellectual meaning to word-play by re-enchanting it with rhythm, nuance, assonance and dissonance, cadence and cascade.
Poetry was always primarily orated, being the Language of the Gods. It should be dramatic, empowered, incantational.
The author-artist will have copies of ‘Esezezus’ on hand to sign and sell, in addition to limited prints, original silver deity jewellery and even some original artwork.
Tickets £10
Presentation begins 9pm
Bar open 8pm - 1am
