Event information

American singer-songwriter Sarabeth Tucek returned in 2023 after a decade-long intermission with the new moniker SBT and her long-awaited third album ‘Joan Of All’, which was issued world-wide on her own imprint Ocean Omen.

After the first single “The Gift” received heavy play on BBC Radio 6 Music courtesy of Marc Riley, Gideon Coe and Cerys Matthews, anticipation for the new double-album kicked into high gear, and it did not disappoint, hailed by critics and fans alike as her masterwork.

She followed up by mounting three full-band tours of the UK which saw her perform the epic ‘Joan Of All’ in its entirety. SBT now returns to the UK and Ireland in April/May 2025 for a very special, intimate set of acoustic shows with her longtime producer Luther Russell which will cut a swath through her whole catalogue, including her classic self-titled debut, the much beloved sophomore album ‘Get Well Soon’ and of course the genre-defying, ‘Joan of All’.

About Joan of All

“A glorious peak” (MOJO ****).
"An extraordinary diverse double" (UNCUT).
“a work of rare depth, craftmanship and beauty” (Music OMH).
“The incredible creativity here is Tucek’s rejection of pastiche” (Loud & Quiet).

Opening the show will be Luther Russell, who has a rich history in music. For a decade, he has been one half of the endearing folk-pop duo Those Pretty Wrongs, serving alongside Big Star's Jody Stephens. Luther is also the grandson of Bob Russell and the grandnephew of Bud Green, whose songs are part of the great American songbook.

He has become an accomplished producer and Grammy-nominated songwriter, and after six solo albums and a few brushes with mainstream rock and roll glory, he has returned with Happiness for Beginners. This time, the writing is more literate, darker, and romantically inclined. Armed with his 12-string electric Rickenbacker and flanked by his exceptional musician friends, Luther has crafted a stunning slice of rock that shimmers as it reflects an era that sidled alongside what became punk, the melodic charisma of Ork Records, and the proto power pop of Bomp! & Stiff Records, into the prime of post-punk-from the jangly college rock landscape of America to the U.K. raincoat guitar group vanguard of the '80s. All on display on Happiness For Beginners, out now on Beachwood Sparks founding member Brent Rademaker’s label Curation Records.
