DANCER are an exciting new, but already prolific, band from Glasgow. Since 2023 they have released two EPs, an album, and a split with kindred spirits Portland Oregon’s Whisper Hiss. Their sound is often described in the realm of post-punk, but also takes influence from math rock or jangling indiepop. It encompasses jittery rhythms, searing guitar, and jaunty melodies, while lyrically covering both moving realism and absurdist comedy.
The members of the group have been part of a number of outfits hammering away at their craft in the DIY pop sphere, such as Order Of The Toad, Current Affairs, Nightshift, Robert Sotelo, The Wharves, and Kasms.
LERRYN has been a stalwart of the South East London creative scene for over a decade as the founder of cult creative space Lerryn’s Cafe and later frontwoman of post-punk band Dead Arm. Recent debut solo EP ‘As A Mother’ takes influence from Electrelane, Margaret O’Hara, and Neil Young. Her uplifting songs augmented with lilting keyboards, chiming guitar, and sweet, moving melodies.
