Event information
The Delta Jacks are a four-piece banjo and harmonica-infused hillbilly country band influenced by the likes of Hank Williams, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Hank III, and Slim Cessna’s Auto Club.
Formed in 2011, the band earned their spurs on the UK Americana circuit with for gigs at such illustrious roots nights as the Country Soul Sessions, What's Cookin', and venues such as the 12 Bar Club, The Gladstone and Camden’s Blues Kitchen. In that time headline shows have been interspersed with Americana festival slots at the Red Rooster and Dark Holler, and high-profile support shows with the Jim Jones Revue, the Doel Brothers, The Honkabillies, Mudlow and Son Of Dave.
Releasing their debut self-titled EP in 2013 and their debut album, Trouble Ahead in 2015, in 2020 they recorded the Hangman’s Noose EP. They also hit the silver screen with their first music video: a Wild-West retelling of the classic Bonnie and Clyde story involving a whole host of lawbreakers, gunslingers, moonshine-swiggers and guitar-pickers.
"It's music for having a high old time to, country music for swilling down home brewed gin from a copper bottomed still. It’s the music of a different time, without being dated; in fact it’s needed more than ever, an antidote"
AMERICANA UK
"Looking like they've fallen out of Sun Studios circa 1955, The Delta Jacks summon the raw, skeletal rockabilly of the Million Dollar Quartet in fine style." VIVE LE ROCK MAGAZINE
Singer/songwriter Paul McClure aka The Rutland Troubadour is a master of the stage, whether it's an intimate house concert or a full-on festival set...his shows are a delight.
