Event information
Modest in name and image, Liz shocks first timers with an unexpected sailing raw and incomparable voice, that swings from soothing the mind to "raising the dead". She holds audiences with unruly songwriting and a display of release in natural performance and intense delivery of stories and ideas.
Waving goodbye to genre, each tune is simply taken where it needs to go to tell the tale, but Jones’ vibe lies within the 60s, Lauren Canyon spirit of free song craft, no rules or boxes. Solo shows include the honest and unphased character of Liz, who openly discusses her failures, journeys and acute moments and triggers for her songs. As an atheist, a traveller, a happy go lucky outlooker, yet with a large appetite for explaining all the heavy corners of human emotion, Jones is quite a contradiction.

Tomáš Niesner is a Czech musician and fingerpicking guitarist with a diverse background in noise rock, ambient and experimental music. His solo albums Aurora and Bečvou showcase his evolution as an artist, blending intricate fingerstyle playing with influences from Czech folk traditions, ambient, drone and musique concrète. Bečvou, inspired by a 100-km journey along the polluted Bečva river features acoustic guitar, zither, modular synthesizers and field recordings. It was included in The Wire Magazine’s Top 100 Albums of 2022 and praised by The Quietus.
