Event information
A day of fine music with lots of opportunities to listen and to participate. Tickets available for individual concerts/workshop, All Afternoon and All Day.
1.45 - 3pm A flying start with a singing workshop with Jess and Richard Arrowsmith.
3.30 - 5.45 Afternoon concert headlined by Jess and Richard Arrowsmith, with support from Poppy regulars Hazel Atkinson and Phil Smeeton, and East Midlands acoustic band Looma featuring a terrific line-up of top-notch musicians. Jess and Richard headline the concert with powerful vocals, subtle accompanments, lively tunes and a broad range of predominently traditional English material which will have you laughing, weeping, tapping your feet and joining in the choruses.
5.45 - 7.00 Join in the bar session FREE
7.30 - 9.45 Evening concert with Kellys Heroes. The richness provided by the accordion, powerful rhythm guitar and bodhran give a fullness of sound that belies the number of people on stage. Their repertoire encompasses fast and furious Celtic songs and tunes, gentle ballads and quality contemporary numbers by the likes of Christy Moore and Ewan MacColl, as well as some original material.
9.45 - 11 Round off the night with a singaround/tunes in the concert room - all welcome to participate or listen FREE
