Event information

Samaritans are one of the best-known charities in the UK and are often
described as ‘the 4 th emergency service.’ In this event Tony Woolstone, a
long-serving listening volunteer and ex-Director of the Oxford Branch will
discuss the origins of Samaritans and explain the aims of the service and
then in an interactive part of the evening, see if we can all be guided to
become active listeners and better support our friends, family and
strangers in 2025. The subject matter may appear difficult and
depressing, but there will be laughter as part of the occasion.
