Oisin Leech
'A writer of great sensitivity in melody and lyrics, has composed a batch of songs that nestle up and whisper in your ear' The Irish Times
'Oisin has reached a new pinnacle with real serene beauty' Uncut
Acclaimed songwriter and musician Oisin Leech has become known for his deft artistry and captivating vocals throughout his varied and accomplished career. As one half of revered duo The Lost Brothers, Leech has toured extensively performing at Glastonbury, SXSW, the BBC Electric Proms and beyond. Outside of The Lost Brothers, Leech himself has been a touring and recording artist for many years and has collaborated and worked alongside a variety of acts such as the Arctic Monkeys, The Specials, M Ward and Paul Muldoon. Alongside his musical output, the Navan native always has something music related fulfilling his creative instincts.
For a number of years, his Caravan Radio show on RTÉ Radio 1 has been gracing the airwaves sending out alchemy and soulfulness in equal measure. In his hometown, he runs a music night called Joey Procida’s Folk Club which has welcomed the likes of Steve Gunn, Lisa O’Neill, Andy Irvine, Willy Mason and others, with each session leaving audiences enthralled.
Oisin has a new album, ‘The Cold Sea,’ recorded in Ireland and produced by Brooklyn artist Steve Gunn (Kurt Vile, War On Drugs). The album also features Dónal Lunny, Bob Dylan’s longtime bassist Tony Garnier, fiddle maestro Roisin McGrory, and indie legend M Ward (She and Him).
It was released in March to critical acclaim and has earned its place in the 6Music, Mojo, Uncut and The Irish Times Album of the Year 2024 lists.
