Rubella Ballet+Brigandage+Omega Tribe - what a lineup!!!

Rubella Ballet – we had a superb night with a similar fabulous bill last Summer in the DC. And Rubella Ballet are back, with their pals Brigandage riding sonic shotgun again, and the added bonus of the amazing Omega Tribe.

Rubella Ballet – 45 years and counting from their inception, Rubella Ballet, with their remarkable, bespoke light show, are still the zippiest, most colour-ful and POSITIVE of post punk combos.

Part Gothic, part Anarcho Punk, part DIY Indie, part psychedelic hypno rock, always a fab nite out.

Brigandage – Talking of positivity in punk…Original Posipunk stylists from the neo Goth early days of post Ants and Banshees noir wave.

Singer Michelle has put together another new lineup and dusted off the back catalogue. Michelle was there at the start too, as images from the queue outside the 1976 100 Club Punk Festival attest.

Opening tonight, Omega Tribe – although bass ace and architect of the band Daryl Hardcastle sadly passed away this year, Omega Tribe nobly continue.

Original anarcho punks from the early ‘80s, they have consolidated their early Crass curated releases with some kicking records via the esteemed Grow Your Own label and continue to startle with their urgent, searing punky pop. “If Omega Tribe is about anything it could be that transforming a space into somewhere joyous, inclusive and powerful” Amen.
