Superlocrian is one of the UK’s finest new chamber jazz ensembles. Led by highly regarded composer Sam Massey, this six/seven-piece wind ensemble contains some of the country’s leading jazz soloists, orchestral players and world-class session musicians.
As featured on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune and ‘Round Midnight performing top-class new arrangements and compositions, this highly-skilled ensemble blends the sound worlds of brass and woodwind from across genres in a fresh and exciting format. Superlocrian is known for its rich and evocative style that skillfully blends genres. Achieving this are six talented and experienced musicians who have performed for audiences worldwide and alongside artists from the world of pop, jazz and orchestral genres. Together, these passionate and experienced musicians give Superlocrian its inimitable sound. Their wide range of backgrounds and musical interests coupled with world-class training means they are skilled and versatile across a range of genres.
