Event information
Londoner Nigel Price is a highly skilled guitarist as well as an accomplished composer whose swinging bebop approach combined with flawless control is a delight to hear. He has played on more than 50 albums, spent ten years with acid jazz outfit the Filthy Six, was a member of James Taylor’s jazz/funk band for 3 years and has played at Ronnie Scott’s over 600 times. As leader, he has recorded 9 albums, including six with his own Organ Trio.
A multi award winner he has picked up a Parliamentary Jazz Award (Best Jazz Ensemble, 2010), a nomination for a British Jazz Award (Best Guitarist, 2014) and a British Jazz Award (Best Guitarist, 2016) along the way. Nigel will be joined by local Jazz Guitarist Neil Burns, Co-founder of Jazz on the Green and Fellow Londoner Jihad Darwish on Double Bass a top bass player performing and recording worldwide Jihad has worked with artists including Sting,Van Morrison, Newton Faulkner,Anderson Paak, , Gilles Peterson, Zara McFarlane, Moses Boyd, Nu Civilization Orchestra,Camilla George, and many more in venues ranging from Ronnie Scotts and The Royal Abert Hall to The Sydney Opera House, live on Jools Holland and the Jay Leno Show.
