Event information
Folk in the Footlights is back for the 2025 series of events on the 7th of February and we would love you to join us at the famous Footlight Cellars at The Cambridge Union.
The birthplace of some very famous careers including Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, every 6 weeks we bring you some of the finest folk musicians around Cambridge and the UK.
This year we start with Elizabeth and Jameson who played a stomping set for us back in the Spring of 2024. Elizabeth & Jameson, an award-winning folk duo based in Hertfordshire. Hannah Elizabeth and Griff Jameson have joined forces to create an acoustic indie-folk sound, merging their musical backgrounds of traditional folk and folk pop/rock. With a new album coming out and further awesome songs to showcase, they are a duo who are simply not to be missed.

Joining them will be another duo as Alex joins Daria Mirea to form a very enticing-sounding folk-inspired act. Daria was a finalist in the Greene King talent competition last year and played at the Cambridge Club Festival amongst other festivals in the summer of 2024. She also appeared at one of our songwriter sessions at The Orator in August.
