We're excited to announce that we have secured the services of blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Chantel McGregor - one of the most exciting rock-blues musicians in the UK - to  play at JJJ on Saturday 1st November!

A female guitar prodigy, Chantel was told by a major label that she had a "great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that!". Wisely ignoring their comments, Chantel has since enjoyed many years of touring and festival appearances, along with multiple album releases which show her gradual transition from conventional blues to a harder, bigger and bolder rock sound with progressive influences. Imagine the tone of Robin Trower, the inspiration of Hendrix, the influence of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the energy of Bonamassa, the intensity of Walter Trout and the haunting vocal of Stevie Nicks all rolled into one.

Chantel has had a career of winning awards  - such as "Young Artist of the Year" at the British Blues Awards in 2011, "Best Female Vocalist" at the British Blues Awards 2012, "Guitarist Of The Year" and "Best Female Vocalist" in 2013 British Blues Awards, "Guitarist Of The Year" category in 2014 - and has recently been interviewed for features on Sky News, BBC Radio Five Live and BBC Radio Four.

We're expecting very high-demand for this show and so we'd recommending booking early.

Tickets are for ‘general admission’ giving you access to any available seating or standing areas. There is no assigned seating, any seating that is available can be taken on a first come first served basis.

Last entry to Joe Joe Jims is at 10.30pm.


Accessibility:

Access to Joe Joe Jims via the front doors is on the level with the frontage and footpath without the need to negotiate any steps or changes in surface height.
