Event information
This informal and hands-on printing workshop will explore the wonderful, messy and fun techniques of printing for collage.
During this workshop you will learn the skills to create colourful painted textured papers using ink, paint, oil pastels, crayons, and pens. Following this we will explore printing with leaves, bubble wrap, string, foam and making our own printing blocks to create extraordinary layered textured and printed papers.
Taking inspiration from collage artists Mark Hearld and Clare Youngs we will make several items using these printed papers; a small concertina book, an articulated beast or bird, and a frameable collage.
This creative process is fun and addictive and suitable for everyone, no experience is needed.
