TRUST FUND
Ellis Jones has played music as Trust Fund since 2012, releasing four albums that range from lo-fi bedroom pop to full-band indie rock. His songs have been critically acclaimed by Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and The Guardian, and endorsed by Frank Ocean's Blonded Radio.
Trust Fund have played extensively in the UK and EU, including tours supporting Mitski, Frankie Cosmos and Los Campesinos! After an extended break since 2017, Trust Fund recently returned with the self-released singles ‘Capital', ‘Late Nite Skate', ‘Animals In War' and ‘London’ – these quiet, introspective indie-folk songs have been playlisted by NPR, Merge, New York Times, and others.
Has It Been A While, Trust Fund’s fifth full-length record, is released 2nd November 2024 on Tapete Records.
Lanny is the solo project of Lan McArdle (Ex-Void, Joanna Gruesome). McArdle has been releasing solo music under various monikers for years, but BLISS!! BLISS! BLISS (Gob Nation) is their debut album proper, and sees them explore an idiosyncratic, deconstructed take on the hook-heavy guitar pop they're known for. Written and recorded using Garageband, the process began as something playful and intuitive, before morphing into a cohesive sound-world of its own, one that takes in everything from country to indie rock to trap to the digital melancholy of Claire Rousay. It's an album that plays games with intimacy - draws you close with womb-like digital production, slowcore guitar chords, flute organs then distances you with autotune, or a heartbroken monologue delivered by Microsoft Sam. As McArdle writes:
