Event information
Alastair Gordon
Alastair Gordon started performing original material on the Berlin open mic scene in his late teens. Since then, his voice has been shaped into a rich baritone through years of busking and a creative approach to guitar and harmonica have been shaped by adventurous listening habits. The clearest influences include John Martyn, Charlie Parr and The Felice Brothers. Lyrical content often tackles unconventional subject matter and reflects a life split between South Yorkshire and North Saxony.
"Rich baritone and creative musical approach" - Narc Magazine
"Off kilter quirky baritone - that's a very difficult style to pull off. Alastair absolutely nails it." - Christian Carlisle, BBC Sheffield.

Cobalt Tales
Music From The Heart that Stirs The Soul
Cobalt Tales are Nuala and Pat – a Lancashire – Scottish powerhouse of bass, guitar and beautiful vocals. You can expect anything from soul to folk to spooky self-penned ballads. They describe themselves as “following threads through tales, lives and ancestry; singing of people, places, events, and experiences that have made us who we are”.
“This talented duo always have a dramatic element to their live shows ….delivered with Pat’s passionate vocals and Nuala’s clever bass accompaniment, whistle and pipes...” - Howard King, At The Barrier 20.10.23
