Hi all were back for our 1st event of 2025 this will be our 10th event as we move forward on our musical journey. We're pleased to announce that RUFF TRADE are back for a magical 2 hour live set. If you have seen them in the past at our events then you know this is a show not to be missed. Plus we have our very own dj Craig tutt. Also we welcome A new member to the team dj espin for his 1st appearance at Reggae Nation bringing the heat to this event. Please note the venue is a based next to the river medway in maidstone town center outside under cover. So incase of bad weather we have you covered.

Limited early bird tickets will be £10

Second release tickets will be £12.50

Then it will be more on the door if we don't sell out. So please make sure you get your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

There will be the usual drinks deals as always. plus a Big sound system. Doors open at 19:00 and we run till midnight. We look forward to seeing you all on the night for some top quality music 🎶 🎵 🎤🎼

Ruff Trade

Fronted by the Mancunian duo Ryan-I and Christafari, Ruff Trade burst onto the scene
in 2016! The chilly, cobbled streets of Manchester became our playground, dishing
out an exotic buffet of wild situations, endless possibilities, and golden
opportunities. Before we knew it, we were the sound of the city, serving up reggae
straight to the masses—rain or shine! Although let’s be real, it’s mostly rain up here
in the northwest of England, a far cry from the sun-soaked vibes of Jamaica that
inspired our journey!

urban jungle featuring our cult classic hit Good
Ting’ which is as relevant today as it was when we
wrote it back in 2017. Urban Jungle was an
instant underground hit hitting local radio
stations and dances right across manchester
firmly putting us on the map as a newcomer to
the world of reggae music.

2018 - 2022
ruff trade gigged extensively across the UK
hitting main stages at venues and festivals. as
ruff trade grew in popularity we began to
work with other artists including prince
hammer, dennis bovell, suns of arqa, &
international country artist keith urban to
name a few.
although the world was on lockdown we
continued to
take the music direct to the people on the
streets as our elder Mr Wyatt would say “Keep
Music Live” so that's what we did.......and got
arrested! although a bad situation , it sparked
our creative side and “Mancunian way” was
produced and released in 2022.

Dj Craig Tutt

Dj Espin ( El Presidente )

El Presidente is a sound system that’s been spreading sweet reggae music since 2006. Originally founded in Hamburg, Germany, we’ve now got roots in London, Hamburg, and Trinidad, with Espin repping in the UK and Fadda Flow holding it down in Trinidad. Before we spread out, El Presidente was a staple on the German reggae scene, playing every weekend. In 2019, Espin moved to London and has kept the energy alive, playing at Notting Hill Carnival on King Tubbys stage for the last two years and running a regular event called Reggae Renaissance.
