Event information
The Corner Room: A unique space hosted by Hope City Church Edinburgh nestled in in the South Gyle Industrial Estate.
Tarn is an exciting new solo project from Glasgow based musician Dan Brown. Exploring the blend of electronics and piano, the music ranges from ambient and nostalgic to punchy and beat driven. Using a modular synth, Dan creates evolving soundscapes and expansive musical worlds to get lost in. This project represents a personal homecoming for him, rediscovering his voice as a pianist.
Rebecca Hill and Charlie Stewart are a harpist and fiddle player based in the thriving traditional music scene in Glasgow. Their debut album 'Thawcrook' recorded in 2022 seen them reach the finals of the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards ‘Composer of the Year’ category in 2023. The pair experiment with contemporary compositional techniques, creating hypnotic themes and integrating large sections of improvisation within arrangements,
bringing an off- the-cuff, conversational feel to tracks such as ‘On the Mountain’.
