Event information
This workshop runs from 10:15am to 4:15pm and includes a morning and afternoon project.
Morning project - a free standing glass curve using small glass pieces to create a flower garden.
You will use glass pieces (called frit) or tiny glass nuggets in different colours and shapes to make a flower bed in the garden. The glass will be curved to a C shape after it has been fired in my kiln.
Afternoon project - make a glass hanger picturing either a seahorse, a seascene with a boat, or a piece of your own artwork using aqua colours.
You have a choice of designs to choose from using aqua colours to make a hanging glass piece.
All glass will be taken away to be fired and returned at a later date, attendees will be given notice of when items are to be returned.
About the Tutor
Jane Wimbury has been playing with glass for ten years in various forms and using lots of different techniques. She enjoys sharing these in workshops in her own garden studio or with larger groups in other venues. She attends craft fairs across the country to sell the pieces she makes which are fun, functional and always brightly coloured.
