Event information
Yorkshire-based The Declining Winter are the long-running project led by Richard Adams, the co-founder of the Domino Records group Hood. They are purveyors of a unique form of pastoral post-rock taking in influences from lo-fi, electronica and jazz with a strong visual aesthetic inspired by the countryside of Yorkshire and beyond. Their recent album 'Last April' has been highly praised by the likes of Uncut and KLOF magazines as "the perfect example of sadness, hope and love that music can capture more effectively than any other art form".
Gayle Brogan performs solo under the name Pefkin, creating slowly-unfolding, ritualistic hymnals that draw heavily on the landscape and natural world, using processed violin / viola, electronics, voice and field recordings. She has released albums internationally on labels such as Morc, Wild Silence, Nite Hive, Folklore Tapes and Sonido Polifonico.
ADRA is the project of Andy Abbott (formerly This Fucking Tank and NOPE) who, as well as solo guitar improvisations, makes experimental music under his ADRA alias. His recent 'Music for Psychiatric Wards' emerged out of his experiences as a creative practitioner performing ambient music in psychiatric wards and was described by The Quietus as "a genre-defying album".
