Event information
A magical, atmospheric performance of words and music featuring the hugely popular collaboration of leading poet, author and raconteur, Chris Tutton, with multi award-winning Belgian harpist, Lise Vandersmissen.
Described as an exquisite fusion of words and music and “an absolute gem” by Martin Denny of Windsor Arts Festival, Imaginary Landscapes promises to be an enchanting evening. Part of our Music in a Mansion series, it will take place in the beautiful surroundings of the great hall of Lydiard House.
Chris Tutton is the critically acclaimed and award-winning author of eight collections of poetry, the most recent being ‘Short Chapters From Sunset’. Coined by Ned Sherrin as “the master of the short poem” his work has also been described as “absolutely beautiful” with Iain Anderson of BBC Scotland noting that it was “philosophy in poetry form” and the Sunday Times commenting on its “dramatic passion and dignity.”
Multi Award-winning Belgian Harpist, Lise Vandersmissen performs throughout Europe and Asia and is one of the young artists at Klara Radio, the main classical radio station in Belgium. She is a recipient of the Guildhall Harp Prize and has received the Culture Prize in Bilzen.
A complimentary glass of wine and canapes will be served during the interval.
