Cult hero William William Rodgers loves Worcester so much that he’s bringing his wonderful band back to Spin The Black Circle once more, following his recent album release, titled ‘Pond Life’. Strong poetic and romantic themes colour their jazzy and folky sound and a sharp intelligence and dry sense of humour will have you smiling and daydreaming throughout.

Turning a hot snack into a full spread, we’ve invited The Players, Theone Mae Dawes and Russ Franklin to play too.

The Players dig out dusty old jams and cuts of bluesy, rootsy folk-rock and turn them round in their hands, asking ‘what’s this’ and ‘is this one to take home and keep’.

Theone’s haunting and beguiling vocals and vibes have a timeless power as she sings songs of her own creation alongside well-chosen and heart-felt covers.

Russ Franklin sings acapella and sometimes invites you to join in too, having gathered a whole songbook of folk and traditional tunes that he’s enjoyed since his school days.

Doors at 7pm so you’ve plenty of time to get a drink and settle in for the music to start at 8pm.
