A scorching desert crossroad, vultures circling high above three heat shimmering rat-rods, windows down in the haze.
Winding around the sound of roaring engines, hard hitting rock riffs and filthy blues grooves, wrapped in a gauze of pyschedelic soulfullness.

A squeal of acceleration breaks free from a blast of streaking colour and scorching tyres, exploding into one huge melting pot of highly tuned, well oiled musical mastery.
That my friend is the sound of Blackballed....

In the middle of all this, sometime and somewhere in 2012 the brothers Gill realised that their "faffing about" in between their discussions of lamps, baggage and fish bands had resulted in a shed load of ideas and riffs they were keen to explore.
So began the hunt for a bassist. Tom Wibberley soon completed the triad and Blackballed emerged with support gigs for Phil X (Bon Jovi) and Triggerfinger just weeks later.

As Blackballed's reputation quickly grew their live shows rose in number and the band recorded a self titled EP in early 2013 to meet demand, setting off on an 11 date tour of Germany the following year. They returned with a sold out merch box and full order book which they used to fund the recording of their 10 track album Collosus, mastered in 2015 by Bunt Stafford Clark.
"Blackballed have released a debut album that is full of epic sounding rock and Collossus has built upon the strong foundations heard in the previously released EP. This is one of those albums you are definitely going to want to hear." Rock and Roll Creations

Once again the band, and newly acquired support camel, hit the road in 2015, tearing through double the number of shows across the UK and Europe and reaching fans further afield in America, Brazil and Australia.

High octane appearances at Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory, Willowman, Strummercamp, Harefest, Deerstock, Jurrassic Fields, Maryport Blues and Rockstock alongside regular support slots at Holmfirth Picturedrome continued to carve out the bands reputation. Fans regularly travelling hundreds of miles to see the band and tattoists across the country doing a roaring trade in the bands unmistakeable logo.

In 2016 the band spent time at Greenmount Studios pulling together - over just 5 days - the epic Fultons Point album.
With an eyecatching hand drawn old school cover and whitewall disc the 10 tracks of the album signalled a new maturity and depth.
The album begins with anticipation and haunting feedback, covering themes of manipulation, frustration and hope, ending with majestic closer House That Misery Built.
With shades of Free, the Stones, QOTSA, Clutch and Led Zeppelin Fultons Point is an album that leaves you repeatedly rushing for the replay button.
Following a packed out appearance at Bearded Theory the band scored an on the spot offer of the headline show at Deerstock in 2018 and have extended their third European Tour to 20 plus dates across 4 countries, closing with a return appearance at home town Strummercamp in May.
Blackballed's reputation as a band not to be missed grows as they continue to smash down the walls at every show, leaving a line of converted fans in their wake.
"Blackballed stunned all of us first timers with the energy of their performance...to make it entertaining - you need to be good. You need to be an expert before
you can break the rules, and, happily Blackballed are expert musicians. " B Side Music Magazine
A sharp silhouette, blistering performances, razor sharp musical skills and ear worm riffs..
Make no mistake. Blackballed are fresh blood in an anodyne world.
