Powerplay Hammond Quartet

For this month we present the “Powerplay” Quartet. This band is built round the virtuosic Hammond Organ playing of Liam Dunachie and also features the virtuosic jazz stylings of Vasilis Xenopoulos on Saxophone and the young and exciting electric guitarist Nick Costley- Smith. The quartet is rounded off with Keith Fairbairn’s pocket drumming style. Expect an evening of groove based Soul Jazz and Funky Jazz with a nod to the bands led by amongst others Jimmy Smith, Medeski, Martin & Wood and John Scofield’s funk jazz outings. An evening not to be missed!
