A special evening where two old time campaigners share songs of joy, fun and sorrow from both sides of the Pond and beyond.

New York City native Steve Suffet is best described as an old fashioned folksinger who has been part of his home town's folk music scene since the 1960s. His repertoire is a mixture of railroad songs, trucker songs, coal miner songs, cowboy songs, union songs, old time ballads, blues, ragtime, Gospel, bluegrass, topical-political songs, Woody Guthrie songs, and whatever else tickles his fancy, including several songs he has written himself in traditional style. What all his songs have in common is that they are about working people, their lives, their loves, their hopes, and their struggles. Steve is proud to be a member of Local 1000, American Federation of Musicians, AFL-CIO.

Jack Warshaw describes himself as "the antidote to folk-pop singer-songwriters". A veteran of 60 years in folksongs, Steve creates authentic American sounds that connect love, hope, joy, work, sorrow and struggle of our time with great song carriers and interpreters, like Woody Guthrie, the Seegers, Ewan MacColl, Tom Paley, Dave Van Ronk and Tom Paxton. Jack's best known song, “If They Come In The Morning”, is heard and sung around the world, translated into several languages. Others reached South African freedom fighters, Chilean exiles, labor organisers, migrant workers, Civil Rights, union miners, environment, peace and freedom movements. From 60s Greenwich Village where he met and sang with young Bob Dylan, he has shared stages with Peggy Seeger, Ewan MacColl, Christy Moore and many more.
