Terence Blacker is a regular and very popular visitor to Uxbridge and we are greatly looking forward to experiencing his show
THE SHOCK OF THE OLD
Audiences have been loving Terence Blacker’s hilarious, spirit-lifting one-man show, celebrating the gentle art of ageing with style. With songs described by Fatea Magazine as ‘part Billy Bragg, part upbeat Thackray, part Noel Coward’, plus anecdotes and a dash of wisdom, he takes a new and positive look at the passing years and shows how they can be the best, funniest and most liberating part of your life.
The result is a delightful show of toe-tapping songs, insight and laughter.
‘A great show - I have had a number of people contact me to say how much they enjoyed it. Great entertainment, storytelling, humour and brilliant musicality.’ - Phil Irwin, Rolleston Club
‘We need cheering up right now and this singer-songwriter is just the ticket.’ - Sunday Times
‘Terence Blacker is a one-off... A hugely popular performer in folk clubs, his songs range from the tender to the satirical, and are always written with wit.’ - Folk London
‘Our audience were captured as soon as he took the stage and were enthralled throughout the evening, not only by the content of the songs but by the banter in between.’ - Pete Nutkin, Watford Folk Club
