Oxfordshire County Music Service is proud to announce that tickets are now available for Oxfordshire Youth Music Theatre’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats at Centre for Music, Bayswater Road, Oxford OX3 9FF.
Cats is a musical based on T.S. Eliot’s ‘Old Possum’s Book of Cats’. It tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make the "Jellicle choice" by deciding which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life.
Come and join Oxfordshire Youth Music Theatre’s students, performers, and instrumentalists drawn from county secondary schools, as they present a high-energy performance of this musical. Set in an abandoned amusement park, the night will be complete with wonderful costumes, heart-felt singing and beautiful dancing. Listen out for well-known songs such as Memory, Bustopher Jones and Mr Mistofelees and prepare to be transported into a feline world.
